Fire & Perils

This is the basis of coverage for a business or a private home. This plan provides you with the very basic coverage and additional benefits can be added on to your policy by your Insurance Broker.

This plan covers commercial buildings, furniture, fixtures, fittings, stock in trade, machinery, equipment, and tools for fire and perils such as hurricane, earthquake, riot & strike, malicious damage, impact by aircraft, flood; other impact, burst pipes and explosion.

As your Insurance Broker we are in a better position to negotiate on your behalf for additional coverage that may be given for the following with an extra premium being charged by the insurance company.

• Debris removal – This is in the event of a claim by an insured peril, whether a partial or full loss has occurred, the cost of removing the debris from the premises will be covered.
• Architects fees – This will give coverage to address the cost of an architect if one is required in the event of a loss.
• 1% stamp duty – This is in addition to the excess which is deducted in the event of a claim. However, it can be included under the policy schedule.

Contract Period: One year renewable. At renewal either the insurance company or the insured can decide not to renew the contract for any reason ranging from claims experience to premium level.
